Ohio Withholding 3rd Party Access is a two step approval process.
In the first step, the business approves "filer" access to the account, in the second the business approves "service area access"
Upon confirmation of the business withholding account number, Ludt Payroll will send the business an email containing the following instructions to approve "filer" access:
Approve Filer Access
- Login to business.gateway.ohio.gov
- Select the “Account Access Management” icon (looks like a lock on right of screen)
- Select “Access Requests” link
- Select “Account Access Requests”
- In “Requests for Account Access” locate Ludt Business Systems request
- Select check mark under the “Actions” column
- On the “Are you sure …” pop-up, select “Confirm”
Approve Service Area Access (access to specific taxes)
- Login to business.gateway.ohio.gov
- Select the “Account Access Management” icon (looks like a lock on right of screen)
- Select “Access Requests” link
- Select “Service Area Access Management”
- In “Requested Service Area Access” locate Ludt Business Systems request(s)
- Unemployment Insurance Tax AND Employer Withholding
- Select check mark(s) under the “Actions” column
- On the “Are you sure …” pop-up, select “Confirm”
- Repeat from 6 for each tax type
