- You'll need the following in advance:
- Email address
- Contact Phone
- FEIN
- ZIP code
- Oklahoma Withholding - Wage Tax account ID number
- One of the following from the account you’re trying to validate:
- Letter ID - Located on any recent letter from the department
- Return amount - Oklahoma income tax withholding amount from one of your three recent returns
- Payment amount - One of your three most recent Oklahoma income tax payments
- Go to https://oktap.tax.ok.gov/oktap/Web/_/
- If you are confronted with the "Click Here to Start Over" button, select the "Click Here to Start Over" button
- Select the Create and Account link.
- On the "Requirements (FG) page, select Next
- On the "New Taxpayer Registration" page, "Profile Information":
- Input your first name, last name, email address, confirm email address, phone, phone type
- Select how you would like your login to be authenticated and input required authentication information
- Select the "OK" button
- On the "New Taxpayer Registration" page, "Login Information":
- Input your preferred Logon ID, Password, Confirm Password, Secret Question and, Secret Answer
- Select the "OK" button
- On the "New Taxpayer Registration" page, "Account Information":
- In the "Account Information" box
- Under "Third Party, " for "Are you a third party?" Select "No"
- Under "Enter Your Identification Information:"
- for "ID Type", select "Federal Employer ID"
- for "FEIN", input your business Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN or, sometimes folks call this an "EIN")
- for "Country", select "USA"
- for "Zip Code", input your business zip code.
- Under "Account Summary"
- For "Account Type" select "Withholding - Wage Tax"
- For "Account ID" enter your business Oklahoma Withholding - Wage Tax Account ID number (WTH-########-##)
- Select the "OK" button
- Under "Enter Your Identification Information:"
- Select the "Submit" button at the top right of the page to complete your registration
- Once you have registered your account, be sure to login and enable third party access.
